Getting to know you...

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." - Anais Nin

The school day today started with fantastic leadership camp activities, lead by Mrs. Merhab and her daughter Trisha. All the Americans were there, as well as their German counter parts and a few “extras” or “tag-alongs” for a total of about 50 students, WOW!!
For 1 ½ hours the kids did all kinds of getting-to-know-you, trust and memory type games/activities. Much fun was had by all, and at the end the kids really had gotten to know each other a bit better. Everyone was participating enthusiastically and seemed to really love the camp. The kids left in high spirits after they had laughed together a lot J

We met again at the end of the school day for our homeroom. All is very well! Tomorrow a lot of our students have presentations and/or classes to attend.

As you may have noticed the schedule changed a bit from our last schedule we passed out before we left. This is out of our control. Out German host teachers make our schedule as long as we are at the school. All the activities we had in the preliminary plan are still there, they just got moved around. On Thursday we are going to Ulm and hopefully canoeing before the city tour (cross your fingers for us that the weather cooperates-no canoeing if we get thunderstorms again). Friday we’ll go to Stuttgart all day. The kids are really busy all the time. If there is nothing planned for the group the students’ hosts/families usually take them places.

Happy 4th of July to you all:)
