Stuttgart Fernsehturm und Esslingen

Another field trip day, yeah …but unfortunately it is our last field trip with the whole group! We got to go to Stuttgart one more time, this time we went to the Fernsehturm (a TV tower, which transmitted the TV signals in the old days, now of course only there to enjoy the view, since TV is digital or transmitted by satellite). It was completed in 1956 (6 years before the Seattle Space Needle). We enjoyed gorgeous views of Stuttgart and far into the surrounding areas. We had fantastic weather that made it possible to see towns and mountains clearly. In the afternoon we went to Esslingen and got a nice tour of the vineyard town by Frau Ulmer. She made the tour a lot of fun and informative with great little anecdotes along the way.
The students then got a bit of free time for lunch and shopping excursions.
